The Runic Spellblade

A Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te who spent most of her years growing up on the streets of Ul'dah after arriving there as a refugee from Gyr Abania. While still bold and prideful the once overly brash and headstrong girl has mellowed out some in recent times and has grown far more calculating and mindful of her actions, specially when others may also be at stake. Skilled in runic magic and with a strong control over levin she's a force to be reckoned with both in and out of battle, and a great ally to have on your side. Past that though she loves a good drink and is never one to turn down a good time, whether that be going out on some sort of adventure, hitting up a venue, or something a bit more private behind closed doors.

As such I usually use red mage as the closest match to what she is, though pretty much any weapon can be used by her so even seeing her as a warrior could still be accurate since she can embue her magic on anything.
Out of Character Class(es): Pretty much any type of healing class. Unfortunately despite her skills with runes and magic, healing just seems to escape her.

Appearance

Hair: Black with red tips, reaching somewhat past her shoulders.
Eyes: purple with a reddish hue
Height: 5'3"
Build: Incredibly curvy, very thick thighs and quite considerable bust and buttocks, not to mention B U F F. She looks like she could probably demolish you and you'd probably thank her for it.
Distinguishing Features: facial markings on face as well as eyebrow/lip piericings, multiple scars all across her body (specially her hips and most of her back), red faintly glowing sigil marking on her upper back between shoulder blades and a matching one on her right palm that glows brighter the higher her aether levels areGeneral Fashion Tastes: She is a bit of a mixed bag and tends to dress for the occasion, sometimes dressed down in near peasant wear and other times fully glammed up to the nines. Really depends on what she is trying to portray. She often wears blacks and reds, though on occasion she can be found to try out other colors whether it's for some sort of venue theme or just because. She's found she looks quite nice in purple and in gold, for instance.
Notable Accessories: Nothing of regular note, pretty much just whatever fits what she's wearing.Kaiko is a curvy, above average height female miqo'te with dark skin, hair and eyes. She holds herself with an air of pride of a woman who's gone through hell and back and kept standing on her own two feet despite it all. She typically has a sultry grin for anyone she meets and is generally quite well kept appearance wise. She clearly puts some attention into her hygiene and general self care and her armor and clothing is usually always well mended to. If one has the chance to see her with less clothing on, they'll notice she has a very well toned physique, specially her arms and legs though her stomach is quite firm as well. She also has an array of scars across her thighs, hips, and back, though she seems to have no issue with displaying them in these cases. All in all she comes off as a woman who is very active and generally puts a lot of pride into her appearance and the confidence she gives off makes it clear she does it for herself and no one else.

Those who have known her a long time will know she's changed a lot in the last few years, opening up and generally being easier to be around. While she still is very much the type to hold those she hasn't grown close to at arm's length, she no longer pushes people away with the ferocity she did earlier on. She struggles some when it comes to handling her emotions, having spent so much of her life closed off to them now that she's let herself feel there are times when it comes a little too strongly for her liking. She's a woman with a lot of will power and inner strength despite a harsh life and is ever striving to move forward and become a better person, despite the many flaws she'll be the first to admit having. She enjoys creating bonds with people, whereas in the past she would have fought against such things. Those who grow close to her will find a fiercely loyal friend/lover in her and she will go to great lengths to keep the people in her life safe and happy.

Roleplay Information

Looking For

The following is what I'm most looking for in regards to this character and roleplay.

  • friendship of any sort

  • Romantic Ships with chemistry (she's not actively seeking serious partners, but if it happens it happens. That said, she's always open to the occasional bit of fun with someone, no strings needing to be attached.)

Normal Haunts

The following are the places you can most likely find this character.

  • The Far East - Kaiko has an apartment in Shiro that she often stays at due to enjoying the area out that way. She's quite fond of the hot springs and can regularly be found frequenting them.

  • Ul'dah and Thanalan - She grew up in Ul'dah and as such will always see the place as home even if it's not the land of her birth, as such she can often be found around that area when she's back out West.

  • Gyr Abania - While it's not as common since she's moved out East, she does still occasionally find time to make her way back out to the land of her birth and reconnect with it and its people when she can.

  • Any big city - Whether it be for a job or just because she fancied a visit she can be found in the other big cities from time to time.

  • Anywhere else in the world - as a freelancer she takes jobs far and wide, as such it's not hard to figure out a reason for her to be any give place.

RP Hooks

  • Fite me 1v1 - Kaiko is possibly a little too eager for a good sparing match, whether it be with magic involved or not. If you're looking for a good sparring partner then she's your gal, she's ready for a tussle anytime with or without much reason for it.

  • I'll let you know when I've had enough - Kai is a total lush and knows it. She loves a good bit of drinking and having a good drinking buddy only sweetens the pot. Someone to joke with, flirt with, and generally make merry with while they get trashed is her idea of a good time.

  • If the pay is good I'm there - Kaiko will take on most jobs. Delivery, bodyguarding, hunting, scouting, service jobs, whatever. If the pay is good she's there, so if you have a job that needs done and think she's your girl then hit her up and let's make a deal happen. She grew up knowing the important of working hard

  • Hey there good looking - Kaiko is utterly and unabashedly a flirt. As such, she quite enjoys being flirted with in return, so if your char is much like she is and can't resist telling an attractive person how attractive they are then they can bats their eyelashes at each other all day and see where it takes them.

  • For Ala Mhigo! - Kaiko is from Gyr Albania, originally, and is such very proudly helped to fight for her homelands liberation along with everyone else. As such, she's always open to meeting others from her homelands, even if she only remembers some of it due to having come to Ul'dah as a young teen.

  • The Streets I call Home - For the most part Kaiko grew up in Ul'dah after having arrived as a Refugee. As such she learned the harsh realities of the world, but also met many people of all sorts throughout the years. Chances are if your character is from Ul'dah they've have met her at some point during her years as a rambunctious city kitten.

  • Teach me your magic! - Ever since she's gotten to a point where she feels confident in her skills with rune/sword magic and control of levin aether Kai has been willing to teach others, if only they ask.

Availability

  • Time Zone: Eastern US (EST)

  • Active Hours: In-game: I work till 7pm Sunday through Thursday, but am free most evenings otherwise and all day friday/saturday. This is not my main though so please be mindful of that fact and ask for my main's name if you want to keep in touch when I'm not on her.

  • Preferred place to RP: In-game and discord are both welcomed (ask for discord once we've gotten to know each other some, I do not give it until I'm comfortable.) In-Game is my main preference with discord good for continuations or if in-game scheduling is proving difficult.

OOC/RP Guidelines

  • While I am open to RPing with muses of any age, romantic and nsfw content will only be with muses that are over 18+ (I prefer to RP with players who are over 25, but 21+ is okay)

  • Avoid metagaming at all, please. All information in this profile is meant for OOC purposes only, and not to be used IC unless your character might know part of it.

  • While I can be a pretty robust writer, I do try to match my partners. So if you want long posts from me, then give me long posts in return. Short posts get short responses. Simple enough.

  • I am comfortable with darker themes (violence, sex, drugs, etc) and am just fine RPing them out as long as they make sense to the story being told between our characters. Any particular heavy themes I would prefer to discuss OOCly first before anything happens ICly.

  • I am not one to really judge too harshly on lore bending, since I do it myself, but if you are completely breaking the lore of the game I may politely decline RPing with you, though wish you all the best in having fun your own way otherwise!

  • OOC and IC are not the same, nor should they ever be treated as such. Anything my character says or does will not always reflect me as the player. I ask that all that I RP with keep this in mind and know how to keep the two separate! No drama please, I'm just here to play barbies with friends and have a good time, yeah?

  • I enjoy all types of RP. Combat, adventure/exploration, bar crawls, casual chatter, romantic, friendly, whatever. I like to see my characters thrive in all walks of their life and enjoy playing out just about anything there is to be played out. If you're looking for a particular type of RP don't hesitate to ask and let's see if we can't make something happen!

  • Please note, that while I enjoy romantic RP and am not opposed to sexual RP I am not looking to live vicariously through my characters. I am not interested in dating you nor am I wanting to cyber with you, no matter what our characters themselves may be getting up to.

  • I enjoy PvE content and am always happy to make RP friends who will also run dungeons and the like with me from time to time! So if you're looking for an RP buddy who will actually run around doing non-RP stuff with you, I'm your gal! I am also very heavily into taking screenshots and take a lot of inspiration from RPs I do to make them, so if you'd like me to do that with our muses do let me know and I'll be sure to keep our RPs in mind when looking for gpose inspiration!
